Good to know before you come
Driving in Melaka will feel familiar, with a few differences worth knowing before you leave Singapore.
- Malaysia drives on the left, the same as Singapore, and every car we rent is automatic
- You can drive on your Singapore licence for up to 90 days from the day you enter Malaysia, so no international driving permit is needed within that period
- Rates are in ringgit. Overseas guests usually pay the deposit by PayPal before arriving and settle the balance at handover
- Our cars are Malaysian-registered, so you can fill up with RON95 at any petrol station
- Tolls are cashless. We provide a Touch 'n Go card with zero balance for you to top up, or use your own card, which most Singapore visitors already carry
- Driving into Singapore needs a vehicle entry permit, and not every car in our fleet has one. Tell us before you book if you plan to cross

How to pay
A deposit holds the unit, and the balance is settled at handover. No card details are entered on this website.
Overseas guests usually settle the deposit by PayPal before arriving, then pay the balance on handover. Malaysian guests most often use DuitNow QR. Whichever you choose, the amount is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Questions from Singapore visitors
How do I get from Singapore to Melaka?
Two common ways. Express coaches run from Singapore to Melaka Sentral and usually take four to five hours, depending on the checkpoint queue. Or cross to JB Sentral, which links to the Johor Bahru checkpoint, and take the ETS to Pulau Sebang/Tampin, which is around two hours on the train. We hand over the car at either.
My coach or train is running late. What happens?
Message us as soon as you know and we adjust the handover time at no extra charge. Staff can wait past the usual 10pm counter hours for late arrivals, as long as the booking was confirmed in advance.
Can I book on the day I arrive?
No. Cars are only prepared for bookings confirmed in advance, and we do not accept same-day or walk-in bookings on arrival. Message us before you leave Singapore and the car will be ready when you step off.
What documents do I need?
Bring your passport and your Singapore driving licence. Your Singapore licence is valid for driving in Malaysia for up to 90 days from your date of entry, so you do not need an international driving permit within that period.
How do tolls work?
Malaysian highway tolls are cashless. We provide a Touch 'n Go card with zero balance for you to top up, or you can use your own Touch 'n Go card if you already have one, as most Singapore visitors do.
Can I return the car before my coach or train home?
Yes. Tell us your return time and whether you leave from Melaka Sentral or Pulau Sebang, and we collect the car there before you depart.
Can I drive the car into Singapore?
Only some of our cars have the vehicle entry permit needed to enter Singapore. Tell us before you book and we check which permitted car is available for your dates.
Which car suits a family trip?
For two to four people an Axia, Saga or Myvi is plenty around Melaka. For six or seven with luggage, the Alza Advance or Xpander is more comfortable.
