This policy explains what personal data Melaka Car Rental collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Melaka Car Rental is a trading brand of Link Fox Marketing (No. Pendaftaran 002756538-H), operating under the licence of Green Matrix Travel Solution Sdn. Bhd. (GGM).

We handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

1. What we collect

• Booking details — your name, phone number, email address, rental dates, delivery location, and the vehicle you choose.
• Identity documents — a copy of your NRIC or passport, driving licence, and proof of address. For international renters, visa and International Driving Permit.
• Messages — the content of WhatsApp, phone, or email conversations relating to your booking.
• Website usage — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and which buttons you click, collected through analytics tools described below.

We do not ask for payment card numbers on this website. No payment is processed through melakacarrental.com.

2. Why we use it

• To confirm availability, quote a price, and complete your booking.
• To verify your identity and eligibility to drive, as required by our insurer and by law.
• To deliver and collect the vehicle, and to contact you during the rental.
• To handle insurance claims, accidents, traffic summonses and outstanding payments.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it and measure our advertising.

3. WhatsApp

Most enquiries reach us through WhatsApp. When you click a WhatsApp button on this site, your message is sent through WhatsApp's own service and is subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy in addition to ours. We keep booking-related conversations as a record of the rental agreement.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use the following on this website:

• Third-party analytics tools, to measure visits and which pages and buttons are used. This sets cookies on your device.
• Third-party advertising platforms, for conversion measurement, to understand which advertisements lead to enquiries. This may include remarketing, which allows our advertisements to be shown to you on other websites.
• A website hosting and security provider, which sets cookies necessary for security and performance.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also adjust advertising personalisation in the settings of the advertising accounts you use.

5. Who we share it with

• Green Matrix Travel Solution Sdn. Bhd. (GGM), under whose licence we operate, where required for documentation.
• Insurers and workshops, in the event of an accident or claim.
• Enforcement authorities, including the police and JPJ, where required by law or in connection with a summons.
• Credit reporting agencies and recovery agents, where amounts remain outstanding.
• Service providers that operate this website and our analytics, as listed above.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. How long we keep it

Booking records and identity documents are kept for as long as needed to complete the rental and to handle any claim, summons or dispute arising from it, and thereafter for the period required by Malaysian law and by our insurer. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics platform.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request that it be corrected, limit how it is processed, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a rental.

8. Security

Copies of identity documents are stored with restricted access and used only for the purposes described here. This website is served over HTTPS.

9. Children

Our service is not directed at children. The minimum driver age is 23.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
